Neil advises a wide range of financial institutions, private equity sponsors, borrowers and investment funds with respect to financing transactions as well as financial products and platforms.

Neil is a Partner in the Banking and Finance team. The focus of his practice is on corporate banking, structured finance, corporate finance, and project finance. 

Neil is highly rated by Chambers Global, Legal 500 and IFLR in which he is said to provide "valuable and strategic advise" being "very knowledgeable and experienced", with sources noting "he is keen to build a long-term relationship, provides good advice and concisely explains the commercial implications of legal issues arising in a transaction."   • Acted for Ding in its leveraged acquisition facilities from AIB - Finance Dublin 2015 Mid Market Deal of the Year.
  • Acted for the MBO team in financing its purchase of Elverys out of Examinership (Chapter 11) - Finance Dublin 2014 Mid Market Deal of the Year.
  • Acted for Kendrick Investments Ltd in financing it's acquisition of circa €400m syndicated loan and trade finance facilities owed by Topaz and it's related companies to IBRC (formerly Anglo Irish Bank) - Finance Dublin 2013 Deal of the Year. 
  • Acted for a large Superannuation fund in respect of its investment in a regulated investment fund through a structured finance product. 
  • Acted for Goldman Sachs and CarVal SPVs in respect of portfolios of loan sales and distressed loan restructurings.
  • Acted for Pepper Asset Services and Capita Asset Services in respect of their credit servicing operations.
  • Acted for AIB, Bank of Ireland and Ulster Bank in their financing across all sectors. 
  • Acted for Nomura International in relation to their security arrangements with Irish resident investment funds. 
  • Acted as local counsel for the trustees in a variety of secured debt capital market products. 
  • Acted for the pension trustees of a large multi-national pharma company in putting in place complex contingent asset arrangements for a circa €80m deficit in a defined benefit pension scheme.
  • Acted in respect of a €65m loan note programme issued by a Davy investment fund.
  • Acted as lead counsel to a large property developer consortium in relation to the circa €80m Bank of Ireland financing to a Qualifying Investor Fund.
