Michael has experience working with private individuals, start-ups, private equity firms and domestic and multi-national corporate entities on a wide array of matters including share and business acquisitions and disposals, corporate restructurings, private equity, venture capital and joint ventures.

Michael has also acted for clients in the EU, Competition and Regulated Markets space. This has included the preparation of notifications to the CCPC and European Commission in respect of various mergers and joint ventures.

  • Acted for the shareholders of CorrIT Limited in the sale of the company to ArisGlobal, a leading global provider of SaaS software solutions.
  • Acted for Glenpatrick Natural Mineral Water Coolers Limited in its acquisition of Echo Water Limited.
  • Acted for companies at various stages on fundraising and investment from private individuals, venture capital and state bodies.
  • Acted for the Gowan Group in the preparation of a CCPC notification in relation to the Group’s acquisition of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Ireland DAC.
  • Acted for Egis Ingénierie, part of the French multinational Egis Group, in the preparation of a CCPC notification for its acquisition of J.B Barry and Partners Holdings Limited.
  • Acted for Centric Health Primary Care Limited in the preparation of a notification to the European Commission for the formation of a joint venture with Irish Life Wellbeing Limited.
  • Acted for Formpress Publishing Limited in its acquisition of Mayo News (Holdings) Limited. The transaction, being a media merger, involved notifications to both the CCPC and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media
