Paul is an Associate Solicitor with experience in a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions.

Paul recently joined our Corporate and Commercial Department as an Associate Solicitor. He acts on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters.

Prior to joining LK Shields, Paul worked in the Dublin office of an international law firm and has also previously worked for a leading international offshore law firm. 

Paul’s transactional experience includes mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, corporate structuring / restructurings, as well as advising on general corporate and commercial matters.

Paul has also published articles in a well-known commercial law Irish Legal Journal and in his previous positions has regularly contributed to inhouse publications on evolving areas of corporate and commercial law. 

Experience

  • Acting in both public and private M&A transactions across various business sectors;
  • Drafting and negotiation of transaction documents (such as letters of intent and offer documents, share and asset purchase agreements, shareholder/share subscription agreements, and corporate resolutions); and
  • Assisting with the drafting and submission of notifications for merger regulatory approval.
  • Acted for Brink’s ATM Services Limited, an Irish subsidiary of the Nasdaq listed The Brink’s Company in the acquisition from Allied Irish Banks plc (“AIB”) of AIB’s non-branch ATM network.
  • Advising on general corporate and commercial law matters including company formation, group structures along with compliance and governance issues; and
  • Contract reviews and drafting / negotiation of commercial agreements including services, agency, sales and licensing agreements.
