Narita assists clients on the structuring, establishment and marketing of investment vehicles and products in Ireland and advises on ongoing compliance and changes to fund structures.

She advises investment funds boards and parties related to funds including managers, investment managers, administrators and depositaries.

Narita has expertise in regulated and unregulated funds including UCITS and Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), master-feeder structures, funds of funds and large umbrella fund structures covering a wide variety of investment strategy from listed securities to pharmaceutical royalties to real estate.

In addition, she provides ongoing advice on all aspects of Irish financial regulation including alternative investment managing (AIFMD), markets in financial instruments (MiFID), anti-money laundering, fitness and probity, sustainable finance and consumer credit and is actively developing knowledge in the emerging market sector of crypto assets, virtual asset service providers and digital wallets using blockchain technology.

Narita also has experience working with the full circle of fund service operators, including working in-house at HSBC Bank plc, Dublin.

Experience

  • Advising fund promoters, investment managers, custodian banks, and fund administrators on all aspects of funds trading in Ireland and liaising with the Central Bank of Ireland to authorise and approve establishment and changes to fund structures, revocations and restructures.
  • Advising a variety of investment vehicles in regulated and unregulated funds including UCITS, AIFs, master-feeder, fund of funds, hedge funds, large umbrella structures, covering a wide range of investment strategies.
  • Advising market entrants on regulation of crypto-currencies, virtual assets and digital wallets, including incoming legislation from EU regulation, with an eye on developments in blockchain technology.
  • Advising and project-managing MiFID firm authorisations.
