Kris practices in the areas of corporate law, commercial law, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital.

Kris has experience working with a broad range of clients including private individuals, start-ups, state bodies, private equity firms, fund managers, venture capital firms, corporate finance firms and domestic and multinational entities.

Prior to joining LK Shields, Kris worked in the Corporate team of another commercial law firm in Dublin.

Experience

  • Acted for several EIIS fund managers in their investments in and exits from Irish companies.
  • Advised a fund manager on an IPO of a company it had invested in.
  • Advised an English company on several high value acquisitions of Irish companies.
  • Advised a large private equity firm on its acquisition of a chain of well known nursing homes.
  • Advised the shareholders of a well-known distillery on the sale of their shares to a US purchaser.
  • Advised on a number of corporate re-structurings.
  • Advised on various investments both for investors and investees under various different structures and at various stages and rounds.
  • Advised on a variety of debt investments.
  • Advised start-ups on early-stage fund-raising.
