Gillian advises on corporate and commercial law to include mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholders agreements and various other commercial matters.
Gillian qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and is an Associate Solicitor in the Corporate and Commercial Department.
In addition to advising on a range of general corporate and commercial matters, Gillian has considerable experience in advising on pensions, employee benefits and employment law in the context of corporate transactions.
Gillian advises on all legal aspects of share plans and employee incentives for Irish and international clients. Gillian regularly drafts scheme documentation governing new established incentive arrangements taking into account the company’s structure, business environment, future commercial goals and categories of employees. She advises on existing incentive schemes and the amendment and restructuring of such arrangements to deal with matters arising during the lifetime of the scheme. She has extensive experience in advising on the treatment of share options and other employee benefits in many high profile take-overs, mergers and acquisitions.
Gillian also has considerable experience in advising on pensions law with a particular emphasis on pensions issues arising in the context of corporate transactions including acquisitions and disposals and other commercial transactions. Gillian also advises on various pension matters including advising on the establishment and amendment of pension schemes, compliance with pensions legislation and Revenue practice and drafts and amends relevant scheme documentation.
Gillian is a member of the Council of the Irish ProShare Association and a former member of the Council of the Association of Pension Lawyers in Ireland.
