James is a Senior Associate in the Corporate and Commercial Department of LK Shields Solicitors, where he has worked as a Trainee since starting with the firm in 2010.

James practices in the area of corporate and commercial law and has experience in a wide range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, venture capital and private equity transactions and shareholder agreements.

James regularly contributes to in-house and external publications.

  • Acted for Tru Events Limited in relation to the hosting of Bavaria City Racing a public Formula 1 event through Dublin City Centre.
  • Acted for the shareholders of Simply Zesty Limited in relation to the sale of Simply Zesty Limited to UTV.
  • Acted for the OASIS Group (Archive and Storage services) in relation to the acquisition of Acorn Records Management Limited.
  • Acted for Mr. Kelly Glass in relation to the sale of Kelcom (a Caribbean based telecoms and TV provider) to Columbus Communications.
  • Acted for StoryToys Limited (developers of interactive children's book and game apps) in relation to various rounds of venture capital funding
