We were delighted to advise InfraVia Capital Partners on the successful acquisition of Carechoice, the second largest private owner and operator of nursing homes in Ireland, by InfraVia European Fund III.

Carechoice currently operates six nursing homes across Ireland (in Dublin, Cork and Waterford), providing over 500 high quality of care beds for the elderly. With the growing need for long-term residential care in Ireland, Carechoice plans to significantly expand its capacity over the coming years.

InfraVia Capital Partners is an investment manager with €1.7bn of assets under management in Europe across a range of infrastructure sectors including transportation, energy, utilities, social infrastructure as well as communications.

Gerry Halpenny, head of M&A at LK Shields, led the team on the acquisition with assistance from John Campbell, Neil O’Keefe, Jennifer O’Neill and other members of the team at LK Shields.
