Ajinomoto Cambrooke Inc acquires Nualtra Limited

LK Shields acted for the shareholders of Nualtra Limited, on its sale to Ajinomoto Cambrooke, Inc., part of the Ajinomoto group.

Founded in 2012, Nualtra develops and provides medical foods to public health systems for the treatment of patients with disease-related malnutrition. Nualtra has been the fastest-growing oral nutrition supplement provider in the UK and Ireland for several years. Nualtra owns the ingredients and formulas used in its products which are manufactured in several European locations and distributed via pharmaceutical wholesalers.

Ajinomoto Co. Inc is a global manufacturer of high-quality seasonings, processed foods, beverages, amino acids, pharmaceuticals and specialty chemicals. The Ajinomoto Group has offices in 35 countries and regions and sells products in more than 30 countries. In fiscal 2019, sales were USD 10.1 billion.

Nualtra’s Chief Executive Officer, Mark Lane said of the acquisition:
