Liam's expertise lies in lending and security, where he has acted for lenders on a wide variety of transactions.
Prior to joining LK Shields, Liam worked as a partner in two of Ireland's other leading law firms. He was also legal counsel to the corporate lending division of one of the principal Irish banks for a number of years.
He has negotiated and advised on acquisition finance, project, PPP and property finance, invoice discounting and working capital facilities. He has also advised on examinership risk, work-outs, loan sales and debt restructuring.
Liam's clients have included corporate borrowers, financial institutions (acting individually or as agent or arranger), bondholders and individuals.
