Elizabeth advises on a broad spectrum of complex and sensitive employment issues, both contentious and non-contentious, ranging from employment injunctions, unfair dismissal, bullying and harassment and sexual harassment investigations to restructuring programmes and exits of senior management.

She has extensive experience representing clients before the Workplace Relations Commission, the Labour Court and the High Court.  Elizabeth also advises in respect of non-contentious matters such as drafting contracts, handbooks, policies, and restrictive covenants. She also provides specialist employment advice in the support of corporate transactions.

Elizabeth delivers employment law training workshops to clients on a range of topical issues such as bullying and harassment, investigations, Workplace Relation Commission hearings, and changing workplace practices.

Elizabeth regularly speaks at employment events and publishes articles on employment law issues.

Experience

  • Acted for a global communications company in respect of a complex grievance investigation.
  • Acted for a multinational online recruitment company in a bullying investigation.
  • Advising a leading multinational car rental company on an ongoing basis in respect of a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters and in particular in defending unfair dismissal claims and guiding and assisting them through complex and sensitive employment investigations.
  • Advising clients in relation to TUPE to include assisting clients in relation to employee consultation issues and employees’ terms and conditions during the transfer process.
  • Advising employers in respect of complex employee grievances, bullying and harassment, sensitive sexual harassment and whistleblowing complaints.
  • Advising a group of multinational luxury goods companies in respect of the formation of a Special Negotiating Body for the purposes of information and consultation with employees on the establishment of a Societas European.
  • Guiding national and international employers in restructuring workforces, collective redundancies and non-collective redundancies.
  • Acting for a number of semi state bodies in respect of recruitment processes, fixed term contracts and bonus entitlements.
