Amy is a Partner in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department.

Amy specialises in complex commercial litigation and ADR. She advises on many aspects of general and commercial litigation and dispute resolution, and has particular expertise in contract, pensions, insurance and commercial landlord and tenant disputes.

Amy completed her traineeship with the firm and qualified as a Solicitor in 2009. In 2011 Amy moved to Australia where she gained experience investigating complaints against Financial Services Providers at the Credit Ombudsman’s Service in Sydney. 

Following her return to Ireland in 2013, Amy worked as Legal Counsel at a Financial Institution where she managed multi-million euro litigation before the Commercial Court.  Amy rejoined LK Shields Solicitors as an Associate Solicitor in April 2015.

Amy is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences on a range of topics relevant to litigation but with a particular focus on eDiscovery.

Experience

  • Advising in complex, contentious pensions matters.
  • Advising financial institutions in prosecuting and defending complex and high value claims before the Commercial Court.
  • Acting for financial institutions in a range of different disputes with customers and agents to include the successful defence of injunction proceedings.
  • Acting for clients in a number of successful mediations.
  • Acting in a range of Insurance and Professional Negligence claims.
  • Advising clients in commercial Landlord and Tenant disputes.
  • Spoke at the “Litigation Update 2015 and 2016” - an event run by the Law Society of Ireland.
