LK Shields Sponsors Captains’ Charity Day at Foxrock Golf Club

LK Shields were delighted to support our partner Gerry Halpenny in his year as captain of Foxrock Golf Club by acting as one of two main sponsors (along with Castlethorn Construction) of the Captains’ Charity Day in the club on Friday 23 August. 

The two nominated charities were the Children’s Medical & Research Foundation in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. 

Thankfully the poor weather of earlier in the week gave way to glorious sunshine on the day. Almost 140 people participated and the Captains’ Charity Day raised more than €25,000 to be shared between the two charities, substantially above any expectations and a tribute to the generosity of all supporters of the event.
