Examiner appointed over Future Print Limited

LK Shields Solicitors acted on behalf of the directors of
Future Print Limited in their successful application seeking to appoint an examiner over Future Print Limited.

Future Print Limited is one of the largest print companies in Ireland, employs 112 people and runs the biggest printing facility in Ireland.

On 13 April 2010, Mr. Justice Clarke made an order appointing Mr. David Carson of Deloitte as examiner of Future Print Limited. In appointing Mr. Carson, Mr. Justice Clarke stated that he had no hesitation in placing the company into examinership.

In the application the directors attributed the company's insolvency to factors such as the high costs of trading in Ireland, the rate of VAT in Ireland in comparison to the rate in the UK and the fact that it had lost many government printing contracts to printing companies based in Northern Ireland and Spain.
