We acted for Englefield Capital in relation to its €30 million equity investment through its vehicle Rockfield Energy Investments LLP in Imperative Energy Limited. The
transaction completed on 4 August 2009.

Imperative Energy Limited was founded in 2007. It supplies renewable energy generated through biomass to clients in industrial, commercial and public sector. The investment is to be used to finance the growth plans of Imperative Energy.

Englefield Capital is an independent private equity firm which invests in buyout and development capital for middle market companies with a primary focus on Europe. Rockfield Energy Investments is the vehicle which Englefield established to develop and manage its interest in the energy sector.
