LK Shields Solicitors acted for facilities management company, Dalkia Ireland recently in the acquisition of Ballyragget Power Limited, an ESB subsidiary which specializes in developing and operating combined heat and power plants in Ireland.

The plants which Ballyragget Power has built and operated are located in the Glanbia facility in Ballyragget, Kilkenny, at the Bauch and Lomb and Waterford Crystal facilities in Waterford City and on campus at UCC in Cork and UCD in Dublin.

The plants generate electricity and produce heat by the buildings and processes.

Those involved in the deal included Partner Gerry Halpenny and Associate Jenny McGuire together with assistance from others in the firm's Energy Unit.
