The Registrar of Companies has over the past three years struck off and dissolved nearly 100,000 companies for non filing of annual returns and for non filing of a form 11F CRO with the Revenue Commissioners. When a company is struck off and dissolved the protection offered by limited liability is lost and the assets of the company are vested in the State.
