Emmet is an Associate Solicitor in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department and is a member of the Employment, Pensions and Employee Benefits Unit.

Emmet advises on all aspects of employment and equality law including drafting and advising on contracts, policies and procedures, internal investigations, disciplinary hearings, business transfers, re-organisations and redundancies.

Emmet has strong skills in dealing with contentious matters before Rights Commissioners, the Employment Appeals Tribunal, the Equality Tribunal, the Labour Court and the High Court.

He also has considerable experience in general commercial litigation matters.

Professional Information

Emmet has published articles on employment law in publications such as the Irish Employment Law Journal and the Law Society's Gazette. He is a co-author of the chapter on "Working Time" in the Irish text Employment Law (Tottel, 2009). Emmet has also lectured in employment law at Public Affairs Ireland and Griffith College Dublin.
